Cats and Yarn.... the perfect storm.

I walk in to my living room and sit down on my couch. The dishes are done, the laundry is in the washer, and I have a day off work.   Ah.... time to stitch.  I sit down, pick up my yarn, hook in hand.... then it happens. CAT...  yep, the cats show up.  What is with that?  I am certain that there is some kind of drug, such as catnip,  infused into each skein of yarn to drive cats crazy.  If my cats are not attacking the yarn coming from the skein, then they are in my lap.  That makes it very hard to work. Can anyone else relate to my plight?  Recently I had made a motif and set it aside.  I had to leave the room for a few minutes. When I came back, I could NOT find the motif I had just made.  I searched all over the room, only to find it downstairs in the living room on the floor.  One of the cats had stolen it.  I ave often wondered how the whole cat/yarn attraction started. That mystery may never be solved.
